LIST OF SECOND HOME ACTIVITIES
Monday – Friday
5:15am Waking up bell
5:20am – 5:30am Physical jerks popularly called morning drill. Students run round the field and perform some exercises.
5:30am Students return to their various hostels to take their bath. The SS 3 students do not take part in the morning drill. Instead when they wake up they take their, eat their breakfast at 5.30am and get ready for morning lesson which takes place at exactly 6:00am everyday Monday – Friday.
5:40am – 6:20am All students apart from SS 3 students take their breakfast
6:00am – 6:55am Students clean their hostels. They later go to their plots to pick pieces of paper, sweep and empty dustbins.
6:55am – 7:00am Students go to school.
2:00pm Students return to hostel and go for their lunch.
2:55pm Students go for siesta.
3:45pm – 5:05pm Afternoon prep or afternoon lesson.
6:10pm – 7:00pm Silence hour where students go to the field to read or solve mathematical problems.
7:00pm – 7:30pm Evening assembly. Announcements are made to the students during this period.
7:30pm – 9:00pm Night prep
9:30pm All students go to bed
10:00pm Light out.
6:00AM Wake up bell. Some students go for Saturday exercise or jogging.
7:00am – 8:30am Physical work
9:00am – 9:45am Breakfast
10:00am – 12:00nn General cleaning of the hostels
12:00nn – 1:00pm Hostel Inspection. The Director and all prefects are the inspection team
1:00pm – 1:55pm Lunch
2:00pm – 4:00pm Long siesta. No student is to be found outside
2:30pm – 5:30pm Visiting hours for parents. Only students whose parents are around are allowed to go outside to meet their parents.
5:15pm – 6:00pm Supper
6:00pm – 7:00pm Silence hour
7:00pm – 7:30pm Evening assembly
7:00pm – 9:00pm Social night for students. The social activities for Saturday may be chit-chat, debate, quiz, singing and dancing or film show.
9:30pm Students go to bed
10:00pm Light out.

7:00am Sunday inspection on the field
7:30am – 9:00am Community gathering. Since Mayflower school is a circular school students gather on Sundays to sing and dance. They sing songs from their merry mayflower. Role models are invited to talk and address the students.
Students who don’t go home for short public holidays remain in the hostel. However mid-term break is compulsory for all students.
