Dear esteemed Parents and Guardians,
I will like to first of all appreciate you all for your efforts in ensuring that your wards get the best of education. This is no small task and I pray that your struggles shall not be in vain.
It has become necessary to call your attention to a number of topics, hence, the need for this newsletter. These matters are ones which need swift attention. I believe you will heed the advice as always.
Medical Report: It has come to my notice that some of our students have not provided the school with their medical reports, one of the vital requirements to be filed upon admission. This is worrisome because the well-being of our students is paramount to us. We need to be aware of their health statuses to be able to administer proper treatment especially in cases where they have got a history of chronic illness or allergy.
As we are highly concerned about your child’s fitness, so are we about our image. An idea of your child’s medical history will go a long way in making things easier for both parties. God protects but we also have to play our parts as humans, therefore, we call on all parents of students that have no medical records with us to kindly provide us with that.
It is that easy! Get the form from the school, see a qualified doctor to run checks on your child, and then send it down to us. May we not have any cause to lament.
Birth Certificates: As per the Ministry of Education’s directive, all students are mandated to submit a duplicate copy of their Birth Certificates or alternative proofs of birth registration to their respective academic institutions. We implore parents and guardians that have not already done that to do as quickly as possible.
Cases of names and date of birth contradiction have put some under unnecessary stress while trying to rectify such errors in the past and we believe you would not want to undergo such, so help us to assist you. With this document in our possession, we will be able to monitor every name or date of birth entry made on any of your child’s credentials to see that they match.
NOTE: Students without their Medical Reports or/and Birth Certificates on file by the end of the term shall not have access to their report cards.
Fees Payment for SS3 Students: We once again plead with our dear parents to pay up outstanding fees as soon as possible to avoid any form of deprivation. The deadline for SS3 students is Friday, March 20, 2020. All those who have not complied by this date shall be sent home and will only be allowed back into the school for their Certificate Exams once the fees are settled.
Birthday Celebrations: It is not in our practice to allow the staging of flamboyant birthday celebrations on our grounds. This tradition has not changed. For the safety of our students, parents are not allowed to bring in food for mass consumption. Let us be guided.
PTA Meeting: The PTA meeting for Mayflower Junior School will hold on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 while that of Mayflower Private School comes up on Friday, April 3, 2020 which is the vacation date for the second term. We expect you to be in attendance as important matters affecting your child will be deliberated upon.
Be rest assured that we will continue to work round the clock to deliver the best of services to you and your child. Your utmost satisfaction is our concern.
