Ex-Mays 97 Set Award Scholarships to Mayflower Private School Students
Several individuals and groups who have in one way or the other benefited from the school founded by the Late Dr. Tai Solarin and his wife, Late Mrs. Sheila Solarin have always seen it as a necessity to show appreciation through varying means.
The most recent one is coming from the Ex-Mays 97 Set of the Mayflower Old Students Association (MOSA) who have embarked on a programme known as Give-Back Initiative.
The objective of the scheme is to support their alma mater which played a big role in their advancement in all areas of life. Their gesture will impact greatly on the already-high standard of the educational institution.
“This gesture aligns with our plan to give back and support our alma mater in ways that will have positive impact. We believe this initiative helps to achieve that”. – Ex-Mays 97 Set
To begin with, the set have issued scholarships to two of the many outstanding students of Mayflower Private School in persons of Ayoade Ademola and Jamiu Olajuwon. The duo’s school fees for the second term of the ongoing academic session will be taken care of by the Ex-Mays 97 Set.
In a statement issued by the set’s Chairman, Remi Olubowale, and Assistant General Secretary, Eniola Okonofua, it was stated that the group hopes to make it a continuous practice.
“We thank you for your co-operation in making this initiative work and look forward to further collaborations”, the representatives said.
Mayflower Private School is genuinely grateful to the set for this humanitarian deed. Obviously, they are treading the path of Oga Tai whose strife was aimed at making the world habitable for all.
