2019 Ex-Mays Global Charity Scholarship Award

  • Date 5th October 2019

Five students from Mayflower Private School were rewarded for academic excellence at the 2019 Ex-Mays Global Charity Award which took place at the M.K.O. Abiola Hall on Friday, October 4, 2019.

The accolades went to the best in each of the classes from JSS2 to SS3. They are Onuaguluchi Chioma, David Chinyere, Badru Ifeoluwa, Adeogun Praise and Adeboye Olaitan.

Award certificates as well as a sum of thirty thousand naira each were handed to the beneficiaries by the Vice President of the African unit of the organisation, Dr. Bukunola Akinlesi, who also reminded the gathering of the Ex-Mays Global Convention scheduled to hold in Calgary, Canada, next week.

The Proprietress, Ms. Corin Solarin and Principal, Mr. Attah Kakra, both lauded the old students association for their efforts aimed at skyrocketing progress among students.

In return, the President of the Mayflower Old Students Association (MOSA), Dr. Rotimi Akinlesi, commended the management and staff of the school for their struggles towards grooming the best among equals.

The awardees were full of gratitude to the sponsors of the event as they vowed to keep the zeal alive and never rest on their oars.

“I feel so elated and although this is the second time I am receiving this award, I am still so grateful to Ex-Mays Global”, Adeboye Olaitan of SS3 said.

“I just want to say a very big thank you to the Ex-Mays Global. It was a great pleasure indeed. May the Lord enrich your pocket. I will also try my best to be better than this.” – Badru Ifeoluwa of SS1

“How I feel cannot be written in words. I feel very joyful and happy. This school has really done so much for me and now this. I am very grateful to God and the Ex-Mays Global for this opportunity and pray that next time I will be one of them.” – Onuaguluchi Chioma of JSS2

“I am happy for the gift from the Ex-Mays Global. I appreciate their concern about our academics and I am encouraged to do better. I say a big thank you.” – Adeogun Praise of SS2
